Anchors in Wix

Updated: Sep 13, 2021

Have you clicked a button or link on a website and it took you to a specific section on the page or website? Well that is exactly what anchors are in Wix. They help up direct our users to the information they are seeking.

Setting anchors up in your website is pretty easy. In fact, here is a 3 minute video that will guide you to setting anchors up properly on your website!

As you can see, these are pretty easy to use and apply to your website. Just click the "Add" icon, go to "Menu", then "Anchor". Pull one out to your site and name it. Then you can link a menu item or button to that anchor.

However, with Editor X, anchors work a little different. There are no anchor elements. So watch this quick video to learn how to apply anchors in Editor X!

For Editor X, it is almost easier. Just click a section, then in the Inspector panel, scroll down to "Anchor" and toggle it on. Of course you want to name it, but then you can link that anchor in any menu or button.

Overall, the process is super easy. But anchors are a great tool to help guide your website users on a journey down your site or making it easier for them to find what they are looking for.
